[edit] Value of including version history?

Is there really any point in including a version history in the Wiki article?! I'm not sure it serves any practical purpose... Nuwewsco 19:17, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

On the basis there hasn't been any objection, I've gone ahead and removed it; please discuss here before reintroducing. Nuwewsco 18:53, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
I don’t see any reason the version history should have been removed, maybe it should be re-added? Could there be an elaboration on the pointlessness of that section? SpellSword 05:41, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Simply put, revision history can most easily be found on the main website. Placing it here causes it to be little more than excessive trivia. It was absolutely the correct move to take it out of the article. -- Huntster T@C 04:11, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

This is supposed to be an encyc, a compendium of timeless info! The external websites could change or vanish. History is our business. Dates and version numbers etc are appropriate. -69.87.200.135 (talk) 12:48, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
