[edit] Largest or only?

I wrote that CPI was the "largest manufacturer of vacuum tubes in the United States". It may very well be the only manufacturer of vacuum tubes left in the U.S. Yahoo! Finance lists (as competitors of CPII) only e2v Technologies (formerly English Electric Valve), Thales, and L-3 Communications, and I'm pretty sure that they don't do make tubes in the U.S. (if they even make tubes at all). The advertisements in the back of radio trade magazines suggest that there are a few remaining tube factories in Russia, and Eimac, and that's it (at least as far as high-power broadcast tubes go). 121a0012 18:45, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
