[edit] Disambiguation

Whpq, why did you revert my edit on April 26, 2007, stating that there "is nothing to disambiguate", when clearly CPIM has another meaning: Common Presence and Instant Messaging as defined in RFC 3860? Ehn 19:25, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

A disambiguation link is to disambiguate between two articles. There is no article for Common Presence and Instant Messaging. -- Whpq 20:33, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Ideally, that article would exist, of course. Explaining the abbreviation's alternative meanings still adds value to users who are looking up the term. Ehn 00:07, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Disambiguation is a navigational aid. There's nothing to navigate to. -- Whpq 10:14, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
