Covenant of the League of Nations
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Covenant of the League of Nations is the charter of the League of Nations. The covenant was authored by President Woodrow Wilson and submitted on February 14, 1919 [1]. The treaty entered into force on January 10, 1920 [2]. Some provisions proposed by President Wilson were not ultimately adopted, notably, those relating to self-determination[citation needed]. Articles 4, 6, 12, 13, and 15 were amended in 1924 [2]. The treaty shares similar provisions and structures with the UN Charter [2].
