That's done by adding the local parameter - {{flag|New Caledonia|local}} or {{flagicon|New Caledonia|local}} - at the appropriate article. No change needed here. Angus McLellan (Talk)
Y Done Actually, a change is useful here, and I have made it. These templates are also used by national sport team templates such as {{bk}} and {{bkw}} (for basketball, in this case) and sport-specific flags are intended to be automatically chosen by default.
