Hello folks. Does anyone have information on the effects of the administrative reorganization on the use of official emblems such as the coats of arms currently used by municipalities and counties alike? Will enlarged municipalities that inherit the name of an existing municipality also retain the logo of the original titular municipality, or will new arms have to be adopted? // Big Adamsky • BA's talk page 14:35, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Glostrup, Frederiksberg and Copenhagen city are all Copenhagen county(Amt.)

I'm not surprised to see another website that got it wrong. Here are the official results of the 2001 elections to the County Council (amtsråd).[1] As you can see, the citizens of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg could not vote to these elections, since they were not citizens of the county. If you check the results in Danmarks Statistik's "Befolkning og valg" you will see the same picture.
The results from the 1999 vote to the European Parliament shows the same thing: the entire country devided by counties, except Copenhagen and Frederiksberg: http://www.kmdvalg.dk/ev/1999/ Both municipalities are located in the middle of the geographical entity that is the county, yes, but they are not part of the actual county. In effect, they are Denmarks two last chartered cities (købstæder) which were defined as not belonging to any county. This is the reason why Glostrup and not Copenhagen is the capital of this county. You can see the same picture with Statsamterne: Copenhagen City and Frederiksberg are grouped for themselves: [2] See also Sundhed.dk [3] As you can see where, Copenhagen City and Frederiksberg also runs their own hospitals. This is only possible because they also have the functions of counties. It is an odd situation and often confusing to foreigners. But the fact is simply that in 1970, Copenhagen City and Frederiksberg refused to become members of Copenhagen County. So they were allowed to stay out. Valentinian (talk) 18:25, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
This is not just any site, this is the officiel Denmark site.
This is very weird, im not very sure about Frederiksberg.
But if you live in Frederiksberg, you have a "Københavns Amt" sygesikringskort. And there is diffently not a Amt called Glostrup.

1) The list lists Glostrup as the capital of Copenhagen County, not anything else.
2) Danmark.dk is just a government portal, but of pretty poor quality. I never use it myself. I've analysed the results of the 1997 and 2001 elections to the amtsråd a few years ago, and the citizens of Copenhagen City were not included in the results of Copenhagen County.
3) This way of checking might be easier: I presume you live in Copenhagen or Frederiksberg? Try checking your official papers from the Ministry of Taxation. I live in Odense and I pay 21% in kommuneskat to Odense and 12.4% in amtsskat to Funen County. [4] But if you live in Bornholm, Frederiksberg or Copenhagen City [5], you don't pay the ca. 12% in amtsskat. Instead your kommuneskat is around 12% higher than mine. (around 32-33%) The official website of Copenhagen City states that the kommuneskat there was 32.1% in 2004. [6] This is perhaps the easiest proof that you don't live in Copenhagen County. Otherwise you'd also be paying 11.7% in amtsskat [7] I know this is pretty longhaired, and the only reason I know these things is that I stood as a candidate to the County Council of Funen back in 2001, so I read a lot about stuff like this back then. You are right the county(Amt) is not called Glostrup but Copenhagen like the city and the municipality, but the municipality is NOT part of the county with with it shares a name. The reason why you have a dansish social security card (gult sygesikringskort) issued by Copenhagen County(Købenahvns Amt) while you live Frederiksberg Municipality(Kommune) is due to the special political construction rnamed: Hovedstadens Sygehusfællesskab. please look also at the danish wiki article about same subjects. I agree with user Valentinian that they are not part of the county. Angelbo 19:38, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
