In 2007 Head Coach Sherri Murrell left WSU. Murrell was 8-82 in the Pacific-10 Conference and 27-114 overall. Her teams finished in last place of the conference in four of her five seasons.
Rather than being fired by Athletic Director Jim Sterk, Murrell resigned.
