"Country Dreamer" is the B-side song to the single "Helen Wheels". Released on October 26, 1973, "Country Dreamer" was never released on an album. It was only released in 1993 as a bonus track to the album Band on the Run in The Paul McCartney Collection. It was recorded in October of 1973, and its country ambience reminds many of the B-side "Heart of the Country" from Paul McCartney's Ram sessions from 1971. The song was originally intended to be on Red Rose Speedway back when it was to be a double album. It does appear on the 1987 CD release of Red Rose Speedway as a bonus track.
