Count Ferdinand Ernst Gabriel von Waldstein
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Count Ferdinand Ernst Gabriel von Waldstein was one of Beethoven's early patrons in Bonn. Beethoven dedicated Sonata No. 21 in C Major, Op.53 to him.[1]
He was obsessed with the idea of defeating Napoleon's army, and squandered all his money raising an army with which to do so.[2]
