Cottonwood Township is a township in Chase County, Kansas, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 184.

Cottonwood Township covers an area of 80.82 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Cedar Point. According to the USGS, it contains three cemeteries: Cedar Point, Drinkwater and Montgomery.
The streams of Bruno Creek, Cedar Creek, Coon Creek, Coyne Branch, French Creek, Gould Creek, Holmes Creek and Silver Creek run through this township.
