[edit] Biography
[edit] Early Years
Corey was born in Bristol, Connecticut, lived in Burlington, Connecticut where he attended Lewis S. Mills High School from 1987-1990. After high school he went to Central Connecticut State University for two years before leaving college. In January 1993, Corey joined the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class, where he was stationed at Holloman Air Force Base near Alamogordo, New Mexico for his entire four-year enlistment. While there he was an avionics specialist on the F-117A Stealth Fighters.
[edit] Air Force
Two years into the enlistment Corey transferred to the Command Post to monitor aircraft movements on the base. There he met Staff Sergeant Creekmore, whom he has a great rapport with. From him, Corey would learn basic computer skills, such as upgrading hardware and troubleshooting software problems.
It was there that he purchased his very first personal computer. It was a Packard Bell Intel 486-66 with 8 MB of RAM, a 380 MB hard disk drive, and a 14.4 kbps dial-up modem. Corey would spend 6 to 12 hours a day purposely trying to make the machine crash so he could learn what he did and how to prevent it. Eventually, Corey was able to teach SSgt Creekmore about computers.
[edit] Florida
After the enlistment was up, he relocated to the Tampa Bay area in Florida. He took his computer skills with him and got a temporary position working for the Hernando County Technology Department for two months.
After that position was over, he took on the position as cashier at Winn-Dixie supermarkets in Spring Hill, Florida for well over a year, until he was hired on at the Post Office.
From 1998 to 2004, he worked as a Flat Sorter at the Tampa P&DC, doing the overnight shift.
In late 2004, after several hurricanes Corey was excited about moving up to Virginia and starting a computer company with his recently retired Air Force Friend Jimmie Creekmore. Until that could happen he needed to get steady work. He got a job working for a Yorktown, Virginia computer company called "Genesis Computers". The owner of the company was planning on selling it and offer Jimmie and Corey the chance to buy it.
Unfortunately, before that could ever come to fruition, Corey was told to cut back his hours at the company. Since, it was difficult to find work and, emotionally, he was having trouble being without his family, he returned to Florida.
Back in Florida, Corey got a temporary postion working for Personal Lines at AIG. He stayed there for several months, until him and his family all moved back to Virginia.
[edit] Virginia
Back in Virginia, his wife, Dawn had gotten a job working for Ferguson Enterprises, in Newport News, Virginia. Jimmie and Corey planned on starting their own business. Corey spent time and money getting all the advertising and supplies ready. Unfortunately, Jimmie wasn't as into starting the business now as he was before.
Corey then started looking for work and finally received a job at AAFES in their warehouse. He stayed only a month. Financially, they could not live in Virginia. At this time Corey ended his nearly decade long friendship with Jimmie.
As a failure, Corey returned his family to Florida.
[edit] Return to Florida
On Labor Day weekend in 2005 Corey and his family returned to Florida. The next day, Corey went to Kelly Services to look for work. Less than an hour later, he was given a front desk position at M&T Mortgage Bank, a subdivision of M&T Bank.
There, he would be hired on permanently, and go from the front desk to the locks department, where he would lock rates in for brokers wanted to help people purchase homes. While in that position, he would handle all computer related issues, from creating new spreadsheets to basic computer repair.
By November 2006, almost a year after being hired on permanently, the housing market almost completely fell apart. Business was slow. Days would go by there with nothing to do, so Corey started getting his resumé out.
Fortunately for him, a friend he has at AIG, Tina, told him of a position open in the Workman's Comp division. He submitted his application and was hired on as a permanent employee on February 5, 2007.
[edit] Marriage & Children
Corey started dating his future wife, Dawn, on March 11, 1998. They met at Winn-Dixie.
On May 10, 2001, he proposed to her over a romantic dinner and on May 11, 2002, he married her, and joined her family, her daughter Harli (b. 1994) and son Lukas (b. 1996).
On July 2, 2003, they had a child of their own Corey Jr. (CJ)

Since, then his HTML abilities have been limited to his MySpace website.
[edit] Podcasting
On October 20, 2007, Corey created podcastartup.com. The site was created to help look for talent for his first podcast. The show revolves around current events and no name has been given to it yet.
On February 3, 2008, the first episode of Average Joe Show was released. Co-hosting with Corey are Ward Miller, Charlie George, and Preston Smith. The show went on hiatus after episode 6 because of personal issues and should resume this summer.
