[edit] Editorializing

"... has an attraction that definitely cannot be ignored." Sounds like a promo piece to me. Should be taken out and replaced with something objective.

[edit] Notability question

Why would a wikipedia entry about band from Hawaii- that has been together for over 10 years & recently toured Communist China be labeled as Corporate Shrill? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.133.245.62 (talk • contribs) 07:12, 27 June 2007

I don't know, but the article needs to meet Wikipedia:Notability (music). —Viriditas | Talk 08:21, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

This article does satify the criteria. The Criteria for musicians and ensembles states:

"A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, DJ, musical theatre group, etc.) is notable if it meets any one of the following criteria:"

  1. 4 on the list states "Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country,3 reported in reliable sources."

A 3 week tour of mainland China satisfies the #4 criteria.

Below is an "alta vista" Chinese to English translation from the website listed above... the translation is not exact, but the pertinant information is quite clear- tour dates, venues, etc.

There are even more sources listed in the wikipedia article. Freezingsun 05:46, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

I don't see how this band meets the notability requirements. If I take it to AfD, it may be deleted. Please find some reliable music sources. —Viriditas | Talk 22:16, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

4 on the 'notability requirement' list states "Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country,3 reported in reliable sources."

Here is a long list of reliable sources from the main artice page. I see listed information about tours of Europe, China, Japan. As for the info above- www.rockyear.com is one of the most viewed music websites in China.
