Kahaney made a very controversial appearance on the 5th season of The Apprentice as she was hired by one of the teams to entertain a group of General Motors salesmen. However, her performance was alienating to most of the attendees. In their feedback they said the jokes were rude and offensive.
She is the creator of J.A.P. - The Princesses of Comedy, an Off-Broadway production that features live standup routines by four female Jewish comics--including Kahaney--juxtaposed with the stories of legendary performers from the 1950s and 1960s: Totie Fields, Jean Carroll, Pearl Williams, Betty Walker and Belle Barth.
On April 1, 2008, it was revealed that Cory would be a contestant on Season 4 of The Next Food Network Star which debuted on June 1, 2008. She was the first person to be eliminated on the show.
