Corvo (pronounced [ˈkoɾvu]) is a municipality located in the Corvo Island, the smallest of the 9 islands of the Portuguese autonomous region of Azores. It is the least populated of the Portuguese municipalities, with only 425 inhabitants. The municipality includes the entire portion of the island of Corvo, therefore being entirely surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. The island is connected via airplane to the other Azores islands.

Generally, the inhabitants dedicate themselves to fishing, agriculture, or raising cattle. The island has an airport, a fire station, a school, as well as hotels for tourists. The nearest municipality is in Santa Cruz das Flores on Flores Island.

[edit] Parishes

Corvo is the only Portuguese municipality with no parishes. Almost no trees on the island. A small airport at the island.
