Corridor of Cells

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Corridor of Cells is one of the very first underground music webzines to appear on the Internet. Started in early 1996 and went live in August 1996. From the very beginning it focused on reviewing and interviewing underground death metal, doom metal, black metal and industrial music artists.

After a few years under various obscure URLs it moved to its own dedicated address: www.corridorofcells.com (currently defunct).

In May 2003, the main editor of the webzine, Jacek from the band Zaraza, finally gave up on it due to lack of time and sheer exhaustion of running such a large operation with just one person. In its wake, Corridor of Cells left over 1,100 CD reviews and a few dozen interviews with artists as diverse as Laibach, Vader or Jarboe. The archives of the 1996 - 2003 content are available at a new backup address.
