Cornelius Ingram (born on June 10, 1985 in Hawthorne, Florida) is an American football tight end. He saw playing time at shooting guard for the University of Florida's basketball team during the 2004-2005 seasons before focusing only on football in the summer of 2005. Ingram is a redshirt junior tight end who moved from quarterback during the 2005 season.
[edit] 2004 season (Squad Team)
He practiced at quarterback on the scout team, but did not see any game action. He was the scout team “Player of the Week” vs. Arkansas. He joined the UF basketball team October 15 for practice and played in 19 games as a true freshman on that squad.
He played in two games in the season that saw him move from quarterback to tight end. He saw action at quarterback in the victory over Louisiana Tech, directing one offensive drive in the fourth quarter. He appeared in several offensive plays at wide receiver throughout the Outback Bowl against Iowa. The Gators’ won 31-24.

In 2007, he was selected to the second team All-SEC by AP and coaches. He was also a candidate for the John Mackey Award presented to the nation’s best tight end.

Cornelius' uncle played in the NFL for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His uncle, Jaime MacDonald, played fullback, but converted to tight end because he was so big. Jaime's son and Cornelius' cousin was a teammate of fellow Florida Gators player, Shawn Schmieder, in high school.
