Corneşti (Hungarian Somosd) is a village in the commune of Craciuneşti, in Mureş county of Romanian Transylvania. It is situated on the southern side of the Niraj (Hungarian Nyarad) valey.
The village has a recorded history dating back to 1497[1] [2].
