Core Project are a progressive metal band from London, UK.
While using the conventional hallmarks of progressive metal, such as complex musicality, odd time signatures, lengthy instrumental passages and long songs, much of their music is more derived from groove metal as used by Pantera in the mid 1990s, and occasionally some funk elements a la'Italic text Rage Againat The Machine.
Unsigned at present, they have produced one album, The Test Of Time, and perform throughout London to promote it. They intend to begin work on their second, untitled, album, soon.
They have been hailed as 'the bastard offspring of Pantera and Dream Theater'[1] by Olly Hewitt of Cargo, one of London's underground cult record promoters and producers, and as 'epic 21st century songwriters'[2] by Jan Cooper of Riverbeat FM and Raiders Broadcas rock radio stations.
