- this is a parody. which is protected by the US constitution, even if the work that it's derived from is protected by copyright law. refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parody#Copyright_issues Mghabmw (talk) 03:30, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- This is not being used as a parody. Note the definition:
- the use of some elements of a prior author's composition to create a new one that, at least in part, comments on that author's works.
- The use is as a banner or logo without commentary. So, what commentary on the original works are being made? There is none. Note also that parody is a case of fair use. There is no fair use claim on this image. Instead, it is tagged with {{GFDL}}. Further, fair use images are not to be used on user pages or project pages. Either way, this image needs to go. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 14:43, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

- Image:Norgay.gif (history · last edit) from [9]. Claimed as a promotional image because of its inclusion in an educational page, but it has its copyright reserved to the Associated Press, who did not release it. Sam Blacketer (talk) 23:11, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
