- Image:VincentThomasBridge.jpg (history · last edit) from [14]. Source web page says permission must be given by the owner for commercial use. Definitely not commons 3.0 as tagged here. —Wknight94 (talk) 10:41, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- From the source page of this photograph:
- "Copyright Notice: This picture may be used freely for private, academic or research purposes only as long as both the photographer and Structurae are credited properly. Publication (printed, online or otherwise) or commercial exploitation of the image requires the permission of the photographer and/or copyright owner. If granted permission for use on internet pages, you must include a link back to Structurae — either to this page, the respective data entry or a general link. Please contact Structurae in this case for further information."
- This photo does not violate any copyrights because the photographer has released it for free use provided that he was notified and attributed as the author. I obtained permission from the author and properly attributed him as the photographer, therefore this photo should not be deleted! Citizen Dick 11:54, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- The problem is "Publication (printed, online or otherwise) or commercial exploitation of the image requires the permission of the photographer and/or copyright owner". That means it is for non-commercial use only and probably falls into the WP:CSD#I3 speedy delete category (but I wanted to bring it here to be sure). Take a look at the Commons by-sa 3.0 license you used. It doesn't say anything about needing author's permission for commercial use. It says you're allowed to use for any purpose which is not what the author of this picture says. —Wknight94 (talk) 12:36, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
