Copiah-Lincoln Community College

Copiah-Lincoln Community College (Co-Lin) is a junior college with campuses in Wesson and Natchez, Mississippi. It also has an academic center in Mendenhall, Mississippi, which is called the Simpson County Center. It serves a seven-county area in southwest Mississippi. Howell Garner is the college's president. The school's enrollment is 1885.[1] The college was established in 1928.[2]

Co-Lin has a chapter of the honor society Phi Theta Kappa.

Co-Lin is accredited both regionally and through the state of Mississippi. The regional accreditation is via the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges.

Co-Lin has 671 beds in nine residence halls.[3] 21% of the beds are reserved for honor students. No other college in Mississippi reserves more beds for honor students.[4]

The student newspaper is called The Wolf Tales.

Co-Lin sponsors six men's sports (baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer and tennis) and four women's sports (basketball, soccer, softball and tennis). It also sponsors a cheerleading squad. Students are eligible for scholarsips in baseball, basketball and golf. The athletic teams are nicknamed the Wolfpack.

The teams compete in NJCAA Region 23, which includes colleges in Mississippi and Louisiana. The baseball, golf and softball teams participate in Division II. All other sports, except football, play in Division I. Gwyn Young is the school's athletic director.

During the 2006-2007 academic year, the men's tennis team was the NJCAA Number 1 Academic Team of the Year.[5] Five other teams also received Academic Team of the Year awards.[6]

The baseball team has appeared in both the 2000 and 2005 NJCAA World Series.
