Copa CONMEBOL

The Copa CONMEBOL (English: CONMEBOL Cup) was played from 1992 to 1999, it was the South American equivalent to the European UEFA Cup. The highest 2 or 3 teams clubs (depending on the country) that did not qualify for the Copa Libertadores, qualified for this tournament. It was replaced in 2000 by the Copa Mercosur and the Copa Merconorte.

The Copa Conmebol's current equivalent is the Copa Sudamericana

The competition was a knockout tournament. All ties were two-legged, including the final. It was disputed in four rounds.
