Coolbinia is a leafy prestigious suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Stirling. Most homes in Coolbinia are striking Art Deco residences and many newer, expensive dwellings. Coolbinia was designed according to the "garden" plan, other suburbs like this are Menora, Applecross, Wembley Downs and Floreat.
The name Coolbinia is an Aboriginal word for mistletoe and was chosen to differentiate the area from Mount Lawley in 1953. Its post code is 6050.
