Talk:Continental climate

[edit] Chicago -> Omaha
The article had Chicago, NY as an example of a city far from the moderating effects of the ocean. While that is true, the bordering Lake Michigan provides some moderating influence in the form of lake breezes. When the wind blows off the lake, which happens often in the spring, it is often cooler or warmer than it would otherwise be. There is also lake-effect sonowflakes to consider. Omaha, NE, being far away from any large bodies of water and having a more variable climate, would be a better example.
The average temperature chart seems to be laid out backwards.Mzmadmike (talk) 20:07, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
