Talk:Conjoinment

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I fail to see where this article even mentions the female gender much less degrades it. (I have never been the subject of male degradation so I can scarecely even imagine what the complaint is even talking about...) -- okay maybe recient bad idiot-guy movies count...

I agree, the article is an IMO well done discussion of the conjoinment fetish, I do not see how it is degrading to males or females. As an addendum I also don't see how this article would qualify for speedy deletion even if the accusation was true.86.15.134.79 07:24, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Only culture?

I don't understand the reference to the Japanese as being the "only culture" that refers to conjoinment. Obviously other cultures have references to it or there wouldn't be this big online community talking about it. Off the top of my head, the American film "Society" has a mass conjoinment scene at the end, and a number of American horror films present the idea of beings fused together. I'm sure there's a sizable list that someone could compile. 199.219.160.30 19:46, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Blingo

Didn't the Nazis do conjoinment experiments? I believe they actually tried suturing people together, but the victims died. Anyway, the issue of whether it's been tried in real life or is likely to be in the future doesn't seem relevant to conjoinment as a fantasy, which is the topic of this page...199.219.166.243 16:47, 12 October 2006 (UTC)Ktuka

[edit] Notability?

Is this really a notable subject for an article? Yeah, I'm sure there are some people out there who are into it, but I don't think Wikipedia needs an article on every obscure sexual fetish. I'm tempted to nominate this one for deletion. Terraxos (talk) 00:31, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
