Regarding the rule about having to swing at the ball before a strike is called... In the referenced rule document, rule 4.4 calls out when a pitch not swung at would be a strike, so the implication that strikes aren't called is confusing.

It appears that the referenced document only applies to tournament play, whereas the comment refers to regular play, in which case this sould be clarified; in fact, I think an earlier version of this was clearer.
