Cony High School is located in Augusta, Maine. It has its origins in the Cony Female Academy, which was founded in 1818 to provide free education to orphans or other girls under the age of 16. The high school was built in 1880 and expanded in 1930 and 1965.[1] In the fall of 2006, a new Cony High School opened at the location of the Kennebec County Vocational School on Cony Road Extension. It is architecturally linked to the design of the old Cony H.S.
