"Control" is a song released by the post-grunge group Puddle of Mudd. Released in July, 2001 (see 2001 in music), "Control" is about vanity, and was written by Wes Scantlin at a time when his relationship with a woman was not working out. The song was later used as the 2001 WWF Survivor Series theme song, as well as part of movie soundtracks (e.g. The Killer).[citation needed]
