Constitution Day

Constitution Day is a holiday to honor the constitution of a country. Constitution Day is often celebrated on the anniversary of the signing, promulgation or adoption of the constitution, or in some cases, to commemorate the change to constitutional monarchy:

- Independence Day (United States), to commemorate the adoption of the U.S. Declaration of Independence (1776), not the U.S. Constitution. The US Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787, but in 1952, President Harry S. Truman made September 17 Citizenship Day instead of calling it Constitution Day.
