[edit] Real Life Associations
i removed: "It is speculated that Rochefort was based on Henri-Louis d'Aloigny, the Marquis de Rochefort, although he was born many years later, long after his fictional counterpart had died."
if Rochefort the fictional character died, then a real-world boy was born after, how could the character be based on the boy? maybe this was supposed to read some other way, but as it is it makes no sense Bantosh 14 June, 2006
- It probably means the real person was born after the date of the fictional events, but before the author wrote the book. Clarityfiend 00:39, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] real life counts of Rochefort
Just thought I'd add a note here that real counts of Rochefort existed. For the time no article about them exists (and I certainly have no material to write one). But it is unfortunate that their title is currently used for this fictional character (who probably was not named after them). Alos note that lords of Rochefort existed as well, but that's a different issue again.--Caranorn (talk) 18:56, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
