Is there a specific reason ASP.NET Ajax is omitted, because it's not pure JavaScript for example?

I think platform-dependent frame works are fine for this comparison, but as a whole, I'd say no. It's not a javascript framework for building apps with javascript. ASP.Net Ajax provides some client side functionality, but where it shines is clearly from server side integration. I think it would be hard pressed to hold up to some of the client side functionality provided by these complete javascript frameworks. I just don't think it's as mature yet, and I don't believe I've seen anything from microsoft to indicate that they intend to make it as complete a client side framework as these. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bensmoif (talk • contribs) 13:47, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
