[edit] Immigration

New Zealand has had an explicitly racist immigration policy. In particular the Chinese Immigrants Act 1881, the Immigration Restriction Act 1899, the Chinese Immigrants Amendment Act 1907 and the Immigration Restriction Amendment Act 1908 (see here) and this should be integrated into the article. Also, the section on John Howards anglocentric immigration policy requires some evidence of the existence of such a policy and is bordering on not being NPOV.--Mattinbgn/ talk 12:28, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Immigration (again)

Instead, the Anglo-centric immigration policies of the Liberal-National coalition has kept One Nation's immigration thoughts in the public mind.

No. The current immigration policies of the Howard are not "Anglo-centric". Yes, Howard is big on illegal immigration and he also loves the monarchy. It is also true that Howard, unlike some other liberals such as Jeff Kennett, Peter Costello and Tony Abbott, preferred a more concilitory approach to dealing with One Nation. However ultimately immigration into Australia (as I've said before) is both high and non-discrimintory. This is what matters and therefore I am getting rid of this most unfair line.Teiresias84 03:50, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
