Seems too much devoted to technical details, it would be nice to have a more high level discussion of the role of compactness in mathematics. The long list of theorems is just asking to be moved out into a separate article. B class seems to high a rating at the moment. Arcfrk 11:57, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
