[edit] Splitting Page

The Wikipedia standard is that each topic with the same name gets its own page and then a disambiguation page separates them. Using the google test, it's arguable whether the VT-UVA football game Commonwealth Cup is the most predominant usage of the term or not. The first hit is from the polo game, but that's just because of the URL.

I am going to split the content like this:

  • Commonwealth Cup = the VT-UVA football game
  • Commonweatlh Cup (disambiguation) = the disambig page
  • Commonwealth Cup (basketball) = BC-UMass roundball game (Already has its own article - I'll put a link on the disambig page)
  • The Cadillac Commonwealth Cup = If someone wants to create it, this would be a good name for the Goochland polo game (questionable whether its notable enough for its own article, I have no objections if it doesn't survive a prod)

If somebody really has their heart set against Commonwealth Cup being the football game and thinks that it should be the disambig page with Commonwealth Cup (American football) being the page for the VT-UVA game, ok, but honestly (1) virtually all of the content is for the football game, (2) both wiki pages linking here are linking here for the football game, and (3) most google references are for the football game.
