[edit] Common Good - Party?
This page links from the UK parliamentary constituency Birmingham Northfield. A party called "Common Good" stood there at the 2005 election. Is there a chance the redirect has somehow got rid of the party's article? doktorb 20:30, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
Common good does not seem to be defined in economic literature in a way as it is described in this article. This article is in need for reference.
[edit] Redirecting to avoid confusion
There is another page which, confusingly, has the same name as the very important political governance concept known as "the common good." I have already twice gone to that page when trying to get to this one (which is simply under the name "Common Good"). I doubt if even 10% of the people on Wikipedia typing "the common good" into the search field intend to find a page on a tiny British political party. May I suggest renaming that page to "The Common Good Party" and redirecting all searches for "the common good" to this page? It would certainly allow more people to reach their correct destination and avoid confusion and wasted time. --Rameses 15:44, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism
I just wanted to say that I wrote a subheading for the common good a few months ago that contributed to it's definition. When I came back a few months later, I saw that a vandal had removed it. I've since put it back but I wanted to make sure that it doesn't happen again. Is there anyway I can flag the previous edits as vandalism?

- Why would you want to flag them? Best way to deal with vandalism is to add pages you care about to your watchlist and check them as often as possible (there are RSS and other tools to help). The less popular the page, the smaller chance of vandalism but also the bigger chance 'nobody cares' and it will go unnoticed for a long time.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 17:10, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

This text "allows the pursuit of virtue, but is prescribe what the common good actually is." near the end of the article isn't grammatical and doesn't make sense. Probably a typo/edito of some sort. I would fix it but am not sure of the original intent. Maybe it's supposed to be "allows the pursuit of virtue, but does not prescribe what the common good actually is."?
