One of our pages linked to it without the apostrophe, one with the apostrophe before the s, so I checked to see which was right. Turns out it was neither. I was surprised too.  :) DanKeshet 01:00, Feb 13, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Groups in Denmark and Venezuela?

The link to the supposedly venezuelan one just redirects to the Brazilian, I'm gonna remove it for now because of that and the fact that there is no real proof of a Venezuelan group. The Danish "group" to my knowlegde exists of only one person, this is hardly a group, so the same way with that. Of course it should be put back on if these groups really exist. Actually it seems that list could need some cleaning up, one or two people can't be labelled a section, and looking through it some of them seems to consist just of that. 80.167.85.23 01:24, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

The list of groups is of those claimed by the CWI. in the material on their website they claim these groups exist, certainly the venezuelan does, the fact that the page redirects to the brazilian group merely means that link should be changed. Votemoose 15:40, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Well that one girls claims to be an organisation as in Denmark is pretty strange, all you can find when googleing Socialistisk Modstand on google.dk is a myspacesite... http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&q=socialistisk+modstand&btnG=Google-s%C3%B8gning&meta= Im all for giving credit when due, but this is pretty weak. Another point is that it will give some implications for CWI if her actions should be judged as theirs, she's done some pretty strange things... So unless somethings pops of about actual actions the supposed group have done I think it would be strange to have it on the list, remember that CWI of course are POW in relation to this. The same could be said about Venezuela. Im aware that CWI are a bit embarresed about their initial attitude towards the process in Venezuela and therefore need to change that a bit. It's just that if their is a group it is surprisingly silent in the movement (occupied factories, landless peasants movement, PSUV etc). Of course their might exist something I dunno. Looking at CWI's page there is not even contact information for the "danish section" http://www.socialistworld.net/ (cwi in your area). All I could find was an article by this girl were the name Socialistisk Modstand is mentioned. Now I would never call myself an organisation, but maybe criteria is different for some international groupings?80.167.85.23 14:24, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

As per the discussion, I have removed denmark from the page. However, given the CWI has had several members from venezuela at events they have organised I think it is safe to say that it exists.Votemoose 16:02, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

The groups in Denmark & Venezuela are not CWI sections, but there are CWI members there. For an organization to become a CWI section it has to get approved on a world congress which usually happens every fourth year or so. To my knowledge the groups in Italy and Japan aren't sections either. IMO the list should be divided into Sections and Groups --Dalen 21:37, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
