So what does the grey portion represent? "no law"? Might want to reflect that it's civil law in the legend. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Astram (talkcontribs).

The summary is "Countries which use common law." I hate to be a stickler, but this kind of implies that Quebec and Louisiana are separate countries. Shouldn't USA and Canada be light-blue, because they use both Common and Civil law? --Jon Sangster (talk) 19:29, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

By that logic, so should the UK, because Scotland uses a mixed system...but that would be misleading because the vast majority of the population of the UK, USA and Canada live under common law systems. But I recognise the problem. The solution would seem to be to either change the title (to something like "Jurisdictions using Common Law") or to put in specific notes for the USA, UK and Canada making it clear that the specific areas within these countries use a mixed system, but the majority of the country uses common law. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.19.174.20 (talk) 10:47, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
