The Communications Clinic [1] is an Irish communications company set up by the founders of Carr Communications. The company was set up by Terry Prone and Tom Savage, the husband and wife team who have been at the forefront of Irish training and Public Relations since 1973.
The launch of the Communications Clinic followed the resignation of Carr MD Dermot McCrum and former MD Terry Prone [2]. A large number of Carr staff left the organisation to join the Communications Clinic, including the company's Head of Training, Hilary Kenny, former General Manager Anton Savage and former Head of Public Relations Gerard Kenny [3].
According to their website [4] The Communications Clinic provides training in Media, Presentations, Negotiations, Writing, Speechwriting, Recruitment Interviewing and Job Interview preparation from its headquarters in Northumberland Road in Dublin.
In May 2008, the Communications Clinic announced a strategic partnership with the Gaelic Players Association, providing career development and communications training for GPA members [5].
