Category:Commissions by Paul Wittgenstein

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The German pianist Paul Wittgenstein lost his right arm during World War One. As a result he commissioned several composers to write left-handed piano concertos. Because of this, some of the core piano repertoire of the mid twentieth century consists of concertos played using the left hand only.
