[edit] My suggestion
As conventions are different in different English-speaking countries, here's what I suggest we do: For articles that are of no especial interest to natives of any particular English-speaking country, use whatever convention was used by the original author--just make it uniform.
For articles that are of particular interest to a particular English-speaking country, use that country's convention. Kurt Weber 22:19, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Good idea. Unfortunately, it already exists, in Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National varieties of English. -Amarkov babble 00:19, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
