Colton, Staffordshire

Colton is a village situated just outside the town of Rugeley in the English county of Staffordshire.
The village is home to many members of the Williscroft family, a prominent Staffordshire family since Anglo-Saxon times. 'Williscroft Place' in the village is named after the family. There is also an important branch of the Williscroft family in Rugeley itself. Colton is the home to Border Collie Trust GB, a registered charity rescuing and rehoming Border Collies and Collie crosses throughout the UK.

The Williscroft family is currently represented in America by Robert Grover Williscroft, located in Southern California, in the United States. There is also a village hall and a small church there is currentely building work on manor farm a small farm complex. There is a bypass that has just been built near Rugeley the town nearest Colton. There is also a park for young children.
