Coordinates: 51°11′22″N 0°27′17″E / 51.18946, 0.45458Collier Street is a small village and civil parish in the Borough of Maidstone, Kent.

At the northern end of the village is Mockbeggar. The village consists of a Church, Primary School, Park and Village Hall. The primary school used to be much smaller, before the new external buildings were added circa. 2002. The primary school used to be known as St. Margarets, before changing to Collier Street Primary School. The Village Hall was re-built some years ago; partly funded by some of the villagers and small tile plaques are mounted on the walls inside, with the names of cash donors.

The village is in a rural location, but is close to the towns of Marden, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Royal Tunbridge Wells, and Paddock Wood. In Paddock Wood, there is a mixed comprehensive school, called Mascalls School mascalls and some of the pupils from the primary school attend Mascalls.

In 1990 nearly all the fields surrounding Collier Street were used for growing hops. Crow Plain Farm, to the north of the village has a fully functional gas-fired kiln used to dry the hops. Some of the old hoppers huts can be found amongst the local orchards and fields.

The Village has a population of approximately 400, and is slightly unusual in having no shops, post office but two friendly country pubs, The Woolpack, and The White Hart (www.thewhitehart.biz) There used to be a shop at the far end of Haviker Street, but it was burnt down circa 1994.

Until April 1, 1999 the village formed part of the civil parish of Yalding. The civil parish of Collier Street, governed by an elected parish council was formed following a review by Maidstone Borough Council.

Collier Street is home to The Boarded Circuit, a Grasstrack motorcycle racing circuit which holds two or three events each season, most notably the International Bonfire Burnup. The circuit is unique in being the only fully boarded permanent Grasstrack venue in the UK.
