Colac is a railway station in Colac, Victoria, Australia. It is 155km from Southern Cross railway station, Melbourne and is serviced by passenger trains on the Warrnambool line. All services stop here.
[edit] Former branch line
Colac was the interchange with the 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) gauge Crowes line. This line was built in the early 1900's to service the farming and timber harvesting areas in the Otway Ranges. The Colac to Crowes line was built in two stages, with the first to Beech Forest opened on 1/3/1902. The final section to Crowes opened on 20/6/1911. The line was closed in sections, Ferguson to Crowes closed 9/12/1954, followed by a reopening to Weeaproinah 19/1/1955 and full closure 30/6/1962.
