COL program

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tae Yun Kim founded the COL program in approximately 1991, with students from her Jung SuWon Martial Art Academy.[citation needed]

COL, formally 'College of Learning', informally 'City of Light' was founded to help Jung SuWon students who wanted to focus more on the Ki Energy elements of martial arts that Kim specializes in.[citation needed]

College of Learning, Inc is a California Corporation formed in 1988.[1] The agent for service is Scott Henry Salton, the Senior Instructor at Jung SuWon.[2]

[edit] Controversies

  • In 1995 an ex-student filed a lawsuit against the group's founder. The lawsuit was settled with confidential results.[3]
  • In 1998 a local investigative reporter Dan Noyes of KGO an ABC/Disney O&O Television station began an investigation of the COL program, but no program was ever aired.[citation needed]
