Coffea magnistipula is a recently discovered shrub species of Coffea that is endemic to the Lower Guinean forests of tropical West Africa, specifically the South Cameroon Plateau and the Chaillu Massif of Gabon.[1] Its scientific name comes from the extra large stipules in which rain water and debri collects between the stipules and the leaf base.[1] The plant is unusual among Coffea species in having adventitious roots.[1]
