Codrington High School

Codrington High School was a private high school in Society Hill St John in Barbados. It was opened in 1917 by Bishop Anstey which also founded Bishop Anstey High School in Trinidad and Tobago and closed in 2000 because of financial difficulties then it reopened in 2004. It caters for the upper class students and it is noted for its high standards. It has a primary section as well. The border program where the students stayed over for the night was closed in 1990. It also has a remedial classes for difficult students. Its admission fees are very high and is even higher for non Barbadian students. It was a girls only school but it became coeducational in 1989 due to closure of presentation College. Since reopening only the primary is functional and there are plans to reopen the secondary division.
