CodeRuler is a real-time competitive programming game based on Java and the Eclipse platform. The game is designed to allow programmers to compete while learning the Java programming language. In the game, teams control medieval rulers who compete against each other. It was first used at the 2004 ACM International Collegiate Programming Competition, sponsored by IBM.
