Cobblestone Elementary School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cobblestone Elementary School is one of eleven elementary schools in the Rocklin Unified School District in the U.S. state of California. Their goal is to create and maintain a caring environment which promotes self esteem in all students. This type of environment can increase the students' academic achievement potential.

A key to developing an environment that makes all students feel welcome is community involvement. Cobblestone welcomes families to become part of the educational process. The parents at Cobblestone can take part in the School Site Council or the PTC. There are also many parents who volunteer in classes to support their children and the school. While not all parents can participate consistently, there are many who choose to help the school by assisting in fundraisers that are held throughout the year.

There are several programs offered at Cobblestone. The Art Docent program, which is run by parent volunteers, is available for every classroom. Each student participates in the VAPA program (Visual and Performing Arts), where they create artwork using various mediums. There is also a band program for any student wishing to learn a musical instrument, and a physical education program run by school staff.
