Cobanus is a genus of the spider family Salticidae (jumping spiders).

Most of the 16 described species are endemic to Panama, with others ranging from Mexico to Venezuela, and C. cambridgei found on Hispaniola.
Petrunkevitch described a species from Borneo in 1914 (C. beebei). As all other species are distributed in Central America, this placement seems unlikely.[1]
