[edit] Summary

Description

The Pasha Bulker; a coal ship that was beached due to extreme weather conditions on 8 June 2007 early in the morning in Newcastle. The conditions were too extreme for tug boats to pull it back out to sea. Instead the Filipino crew of 22 had to be evacuated from the ship by helicopter. Winds reached 100kms per hour and swells were up to 17 metres.
